Janurary Newsletter 6th Grade Team "The Zone"

There has been no time to ZONE Out. All classes have spent the first half of second quarter very busy. Mrs. Larson's social studies classes are continuing to learn about the continent of Asia. First they are examining the ancient dynasties of China, then will be studying the islands of Japan. Listening to Asian music, completing art projects and maps are all part of this exciting unit.

In Language Arts, some classes are writing persuasive papers, studying adjectives, and reading about mysterious phenomena in the natural world. Other classes are finishing up reading the novel "Summer of the Monkeys" and making a monkey trap, finishing up the study of verbs and beginning prepositions.
